What is "bodyweight training"?

Good question - we're glad we asked!

Bodyweight training is when you use your own body's weight with or without added resistance to an exercise to build functional strength — the kind of strength you can actually use: like shoveling snow and cleaning the house.

You don't need equipment - so no treadmills, no complicated machines with pulleys, chains or electrical plugs. You're using the weight in your own body... some of us have more weight to use than others. :-) So you're training with nothing more than just your own body weight.

Find out more about how to workout with no machines, no mirrors and no egos. Everybody should be in shape and you shouldn't just be concentrating on one or two specific muscles but instead gain strength in the muscles and supporting muscles that you naturally use.
